The non-linear loads such as electric welding machines, laser welding machines, and large-capacity inductive loads (mainly based on electric motors) are used extensively in automotive workshops (press shop, welding shop, assembly shop, etc.), resulting in serious load currents in all transformers in the workshop. Harmonic currents are mainly 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 times. The total voltage distortion rate of the 400V low voltage bus reaches more than 5%, and the total current distortion (THD) reaches 40%, resulting in 400V low voltage supply. The total harmonic distortion of the power distribution system is exceeding the standard and leads to serious harmonic power loss in the power equipment and transformer. At the same time, all load currents of the transformers in the workshop have severe reactive power requirements. The average power factor of some transformers is only about 0.6. There is a serious power loss problem and results in a serious shortage of the transformer output active capacity. Harmonic interference makes the car Fieldbus automated production system does not work.
Introduction
The active power filter (APF) is mainly composed of controller, isolation switch (circuit breaker), contactor, IGBT, driving circuit, protection system, fuse, connection reactor, DC capacitor, etc. The controller measures phase A, C reactive power(current), produces control signal, drives IGBT on/off and produces harmonic and reactive current same as system harmonic current but in opposite phase to filter system harmonic, reduce reactive power and keep system power factor approximately at 1.
Our APF equipment is module structure,there are two types Wall Mounted and cabient mounted.The Wall Mounted type is preferred to be used in equipment improvement which is very conveninet to install.
