Product Description

HVCR series of high voltage reactive power local compensation installations

widely used in the high power high voltage electric equipments of metallurgy, mining, Petrochemical Industry, Drainage and other fields. Particularly, it can work well in compensating long-distance wire loss, increase of power factor; reduce line loss, save energy, steady voltage, to improve the quality of power grid.

HVCR series of high voltage reactive power local compensator is mainly composed of shunt capacitors, and equipped with protection units, which is connected with three phase AC power distribution system of 50 or 60Hz and rated voltage 3-10Kv and installed around the a synchronized generator or inductive equipments.

 

Working principle

Inductive load always have certain resistance (such as motor coil of DC resistance, etc), and therefore equivalent to inductance L and resistance R series circuit. The capacitor is in parallel on inductive load L, which can compensate reactive power, improve power factor. And it is installed in the nearby inductive load (such as asynchronous motor, etc.).The way of reactive power compensation on the spot is called local compensation.

 

Main Characteristics

l Using high quality three phase high voltage power capacitor, high reliability, long operating life and low running temperature;

l Improve power factor around 0.95, bring down reactive power loss, has evident effect for power conservation;

l Improve power quality, transformer load factor and electrical equipment efficiency;

l Use high voltage spray type or current-limiting fuse as short-circuit protection to ensure safe running of the equipment;

l High discharge inception voltage, after breaking away from the power of device, residual voltage will go down below 50V within five minutes;

l Equipped with high voltage electric monitor, magnetic lock and watch window which has compulsory close function to ensure operator's safety.

 

Model Selection Guide

l Please specify the rated voltage, the equipment capacity and whether the reactor is series or not, and your special requirement.

l HVC local compensation equipment is usually cabinet type, which can be fixed around the capacitor room, power distribution room and generator of the production room.

l The solution of equipment capacity should consider calculating the generator vacant load capacity, such, it can avoid the self-incentive cause the generator insulation damaged.

 

For example:

Generator rated voltage: 10Kv

Demand: 264kvar compensation capacity

Require:6% reactor which can detune 5 times or above harmonic and limit inrush current.
